Maine’s first insect dinner served at Portland restaurant

PORTLAND (WGME) — If you can stomach some bugs, then bon appétit.

Maine’s first insect dinner was served Monday at Bao Bao Dumpling House in Portland. One dish combined vegetables with toasted crickets and chili vinaigrette. Another combined bacon and jasmine rice with garlicky meal worms. There was also a meal that mixed another type of worm with scallops.

Bao Bao’s co-founder Zachary Pratt teamed up with Entosense to make it happen.
